Morris Law Firm Fee Structures
Effective representation doesn’t have to be expensive. Morris Law Firm provides a team of attorneys without our clients needing a team of bankers. Our size, team-based model, flexible billing, and commitment to building long-term relationships means our clients can afford to get advice and direction anytime they want it – not just when they think they need it.
Morris Law Firm provides a variety of fee structures that are tailored to our clients’ varying financial needs. Although the traditional “hourly-rate” approach to billing works well in certain circumstances, our attorneys are willing to explore a variety of billing options, including the concept of “project-based” billing in which a client pays a specific fee for services performed by Morris Law Firm in connection with an engagement. Unlike hourly rate billing, project-based billing works well for some clients because it allows them to build the cost of necessary legal services into their budgets at the outset of an engagement.
Morris Law Firm does not charge its clients for small copying jobs (less than 100 pages) or for routine long-distance telephone call charges. Larger copying jobs are outsourced to third-party service providers and the actual cost is then passed along to the client as part of that client’s bill. If a Morris Law Firm attorney and a client decide to expand the legal team and to bring in the help of third-party specialists in order to achieve the client’s goals, then only the actual costs of such third-party specialists are included in the client’s bill. Similarly, transaction-related filing fees and conference calls utilizing third-party service providers and similar charges are billed to the client at their actual cost.
